January 2025 UPDATE

We are actively fundraising:

  • to feed an adult and youth beneficiary total of close 550

  • to ensure learner and teacher meals across the academic year (1,100 meals per day, 5,500 per week, 22,000 meals per month, 66,000 meals per term, 198,000 meals per year

  • to provide the sole “reliable” source of staple daily nutrition through this program

  • to grow

As of 16-October we are seeking:

  • an additional $1000 per month, $3000 per term; or $12,000 per year to help cover the budget

  • corporate or individual sponsors to continue this essential feeding and holistic malnutrition relief effort

Closed-loop, farm to center meals

Approaching 3 million meals provided since 2011

  • Approximately 1,000 meals served per day across Global One Holistic Education Centers

  • Students and adults who live in a daily context of undernutrition and even malnutrition

  • Nutrition is a core Pillar of Global One’s Holistic Education and Community Coherence effort

This program is in partnership with:

  • Start Somewhere, a longterm Global One holistic program partner since 2011

  • Conscious, generous monthly supporters

  • This effort is supplying all food program meals at Global One Holistic Education Centers

Meals:

  • Morning: Non-gmo, grain-based porridge in the morning

  • Afternoon: Basmati rice, red beans, tea

  • Rooftop garden beds cultivating and local greens and tomatoes which are supplemental to the meals effort

The Oneness Farm (Global One’s two acre farm in Mumias, Kenya) circularly supplements food supply through:

  • local grain cultivation hipped and ground locally in Kibera for porridge

The Oneness farm supports a sustainable source of non-GMO maize as porridge for all Global One Centers. Additionally, this provides dozens of jobs in hand planting and seasonal tending keeping food planting practices within cultural knowledge streams.

Global One Food and Nutrition Program Meals in Extreme Poverty:

Yellow beans, Biryani rice, and uji porridge mix: rich in Magnesium, Potassium, and Calcium – important for body growth and development and boosting immunity. 

This diet is also rich in protein and essential amino acids important for developing minds. And phosphorus – body metabolism stable and body tissue repair, and Antioxidants – Helps to clean and detox toxins from the body.

Cultivating up to 25, 80 KG bags of non-gmo grown grains per season (2 seasons per annum) Oneness Farm and shipped by bus to Kibera. Nearly 2000 KG of grains.
